Students also practise on the residential streets of Fairwinds, Jackson Trails, and Deer Run — areas with diverse road features including traffic circles, uncontrolled intersections, and school zones near local elementary schools. For highway practice, we use the Highway 417 ramps at Carp Road.
Your Road Test
Stittsville students typically take their road test at the Walkley Road DriveTest Centre in Ottawa. While it's a bit of a drive from Stittsville, your Golden Key instructor handles all the logistics — picking you up from home, driving to the centre, and giving you a practice session in the test area before your exam. We are familiar with the Walkley test routes and will make sure you're comfortable with the types of roads and intersections you'll encounter.
